Altitude Trampoline Park
Altitude Trampoline Park offers a safe, fun place to hang out for tweens and teens on Friday and Saturday nights.
Can you believe school starts up in just a few weeks? The summer always zips by for the kiddos, but not so much for the parents. We know that the hustle and bustle of buying school supplies, new clothes, and organizing schedules can be stressful. So here are a few fun back to school tips for students of all ages!
Finding affordable clothes and supplies for the new school year can be tricky. Check out Lubbock’s consignment stores and sales. The Cradles 2 Crayons sale (cradles2crayons.net) takes place at the end of September. You’ll find great items for a wide variety of ages. Also, take advantage of those back to school sales at the major retailers.
Tweens and teens may be bored on Friday and Saturday nights when they don’t want to be at home but want to have a safe, fun time out. Watch a movie at one of the three different movie theater chains in our area, go bowling, try out Altitude Trampoline Park, play laser tag at Main Event, get artistic at Clay Café, go roller skating, and more.
College students: start saving your money. Even setting aside a few dollars a week can add up by the end of your higher education career. Giving up that Starbucks pick-me-up even just once a week will save you over $200 a year!
With a new school year comes new opportunities to focus on your health. Set a couple of realistic health goals. Start out with something as small as going to bed 30 minutes earlier or turning off all electronic devices 30 minutes earlier. Then work up to bigger targets like eating three balanced meals per day or working out 30 minutes each day. We challenge you to get those 10,000 steps daily!
Most importantly, remember to have fun and learn as much as you can! Your school days are limited. You don’t realize it now, but take it from us… you’ll miss the responsibility of being a kid, tween, teen, college student!
